I live in on five acres in Bend with my wife and three dogs. After living in and around the Portland area most of my life, we answered the call of the High Desert and moved to Bend two years ago. We are currently trying learn the nuances of gardening in the desert at 3,500'.

In 2000, I gave up watching the arrivals and departures from KPDX out of my office window for living a mile from Bend Muni (purely by coincidence). While I I did a hitch at The Flight Shop a while back checking airplanes in and out of the FBO, playing the role of Bend Unicom and trying to keep track of the CFI's & line guys at Bend Muni, these days, my work day is spent designing and building custom furniture, as well as writing for PC Pilot Magazine. In my vast amounts of free time I try to keep the TooMuchFS website up to date, five acres of property under control and do an aircraft repaint from time to time.

I began messing around with FS5 about six years ago. It was fun to experience some of the challenges of flight with that sim and I discovered flightsim websites and add-ons. FS98 came along and I started to become aware of an actual flight simulation community. I became more comfortable with adding aircraft, scenery and utilities and then I bit my lower lip, gulped and decided to see what online flying is like. The rest as they say, is history. I was hooked. Getting involved with a VA really expanded my horizons and made me hungry for new challenges.

The Flight Club has been a great way to learn, share and get to know some pretty interesting people.
