KTRR

(aka "Lackey Ranch)

In his inaugural assignment with Computer Pilot Magazine, Peter Stark put together a tutorial on designing a scenery add-on for Flight Simulator. The final result was a place called KTRR (Tony Radmilovich's Ranch) otherwise known as "Lackey Ranch".

Lackey Ranch is situated about 5,000 feet up in the foothills of Mt. Jefferson where the High Desert of Central Oregon meets the Cascade mountains. KTRR is a 3000 foot grass airstrip at 5008 feet elevation (watch those mixture controls!). It is surrounded by log cabins for members to stay, hangars, fuel & 2 lakes for amphibians & float planes as well as piers to tie up on. It comes with radio (Traffic) facilities & NDB & VOR navaids - but no ILS - you're an ace - you can handle it!

The package includes a self-installer, traffic files and Lackey Ranch callsign for Edit Voicepak.

PHFC - Flight Club Hawaii

Includes AFCAD file

After some suggestions from members, this scenery file was created for an Hawaiian location on the western end of Molokai. It is entirely fictitious.

The airfield had to be able to accommodate the range of Flight Club aircraft from an MD-11 down to the Baron. We chose a parallel runway system to achieve this. The main runway is 11000 feet long so it can comfortably accommodate anything in the current or future hangar. It has ILS & VOR approaches. The smaller runway is 5500 feet & accommodates the smaller piston turbo prop &jet aircraft. Each runway has it's own apron area, buildings, refueling area, hangars etc. There are 2 night lit helipads near the main terminal & two more near the GA apron. There is a taxiway to allow smaller aircraft to access the main runway if required. A road connects the airport to a nearby beach where there is a jetty which allows amphibian operations.

NZFC - Flight Club International Airport

Full Version (with complete traffic files)

Flight Club's first official "home base", Flight Club International is located 95nm southwest of Christchurch on New Zealand's spectacular South Island. Aside from a challenging approach, you'll find a state of the art terminal with jetways that raise & lower with a change of radio frequency, ramp vehicles, a five-star hotel, float-plane base, two helipads and more. You'll also find an 11,000' runway for the intercontinental flights, a 5,000' runway for GA operations and if you're really lucky, Weblackey will give you clearance to use the private strip next to his house (just don't spook the cows please). AFCAD files for parallel active runways, AI aircraft, airport and flight plan files included.
